Company Overview

We are Oman's leading energy company, responsible for producing the largest proportion of crude oil and natural gas in the Sultanate. In parallel with our national and global role, we focus on achieving excellence, growth, and sustainable value both within and beyond the energy sector.

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is the leading oil and gas exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman.
It is responsible for producing the majority of the country’s crude oil and natural gas. The company is focused on achieving excellence, growth, and creating sustainable value both within and outside the industry.

The company also operates gas fields and processing plants exclusively on behalf of the Sultanate’s government.

Our Production
The coming years will witness continued growth in production, in line with our ambition to reach more than 700,000 barrels per day of oil. In gas production, the company is the reliable producer for balancing fluctuations in supply and demand in the Sultanate of Oman, requiring it to operate with high dynamism and compensate for (unplanned) production fluctuations from external parties.
