Bahwan has been with the Suhail Bahwan Group, founded in 1965, since 1998, and assumed her current role in 2016, having previously served as General Manager of the family-run conglomerate. In May 2024, Bahwan acquired a significant stake in the British digital bank Monument Bank to support its operations in the UK, the GCC, and other international markets. She also serves as Chairwoman of the National Bank of Oman and Al Jazeera Steel Products Company.
